Enviroplus Design is a process engineering company that operates in the mining, metallurgical, gas, manufacturing and municipal sectors, supplying a range of solutions from consulting and feasibility studies, through process and plant design, to full EPCM – Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management services, taking full responsibility for projects from conception to completion and commissioning.
Enviroplus Design`s ability to provide multiple technologies places us in a position to select the right technology for the project and enables us to seamlessly integrate our technologies with our clients` processes.
Apart from work done for our own clients, our partners continue to provide specialist consulting to some of South Africa`s most prominent firms of consulting engineers.

Karan Beef: putrid odours are ducted to a thermal treatment plant which oxidizes the odorous chemicals, thus eliminating all smells.
Technology
Large-scale Acid Plant
Enviroplus Design represents Haldor Topsoe`s WSA (Wet gas Sulphuric Acid) technology in southern Africa. Where high volumes of lean sulphurous emissions are produced by coking plants, gasifiers, non-ferrous roasters and smelters, these can be converted into 98% commercial quality sulphuric acid using Topsoe`s environmentally sound and economically viable desulphurisation process. The process is widely used in the metallurgical, petrochemical, coking and textile industries around the world.
Production Plant
Enviroplus Design provides the full range of solutions, including general plant layout and design, handling of bulk materials, conveyor systems and storage facilities.
Solid Waste
The company has done extensive consulting on solid waste management for the Johannesburg municipality, and various private organisations.
Industrial Pollution and Waste Management
We have designed and/or supplied the following equipment for the treatment of nitrogen oxides, sulphur oxides, chlorine, chrome, organic gases, acid fumes, dust and other solid particulates:
- Methane de-watering plant
- Packed tower scrubbers and absorbers
- Wet and dry cyclones, venturi scrubbers
