Company Profile

BAGhouse Engineering was formed in January 1999 to supply a range of products and services to the dust control industry. It was established by Ray Long who had 40 years experience in the air pollution control industry in both dust extraction and dust suppression fields.

In October 2013 BAGhouse Engineering was purchased by Enviroplus Design and this opened the scope for the company to undertake full turnkey project installations including ducting, fans, mechanical handling equipment and process design.

BAGhouse Engineering provides solutions to reduce the particulate and noxious gas emissions in off-gas systems to comply with the requirements the Government Gazette 33064 March 2010 (Air Quality Act, 39 of 2004). To this end, BAGhouse Engineering specializes in upgrading existing dust extraction installations, supplying specialized baghouses handling air or high temperature corrosive gases, troubleshooting and carrying out surveys on existing dust extraction and emission systems

Products & Services

BAGhouse Engineering is able to offer conversions of Electrostatic Precipitators [ESPs] to bag filters as well as engineered systems.

Our products and services include:

Design, installation and commissioning of complete dust control systems, including baghouse ducting, extraction fans and discharge stacks.
Supply and replacement of filter bags, cages and cartridges.
Servicing of baghouses.
Leak detection exercises and supply of leak detection accessories.
Supply of diaphragm valves, sequential controllers, magnahelic gauges and guillotine, butterfly and louvre dampers.
Supply of rotary vane feeders, double flap valves and screw conveyors.
The treatment of off-gas streams by removing toxic gasses to comply with current legislation.

A number of filter bag manufacturers use BAGhouse Engineering on a contract basis to replace filter bags and to provide technical services to remedy problematic installations.

BAGhouse Engineering prides itself in the knowledge that it can solve most dust control problems using in-house knowledge or by relying on its associated firm’s expertise.

In March 2007 BAGhouse Engineering developed and patented its own design of envelope bag filter utilizing a special filter bag seal and dispensing with the normal cage clamps.

Complete dust control system including dust capture hoods, ducting, baghouses, extraction fans & discharge stacks.
